He brings his other hand up, the one that isn't playing at the small of her back, to cup her cheek. One finger plays lightly at the edge of her ear, stroking the soft skin there, before his hand glides to the back of her neck. His fingers thread through the wisps of hair there as his palm curves itself to her.
